Responsibilities:
The Development team is responsible for generating philanthropic income for ARU, working closely with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
The Database Officer role is responsible for coordinating the management and distribution of gifts, including Gift Aid, stewardship of donors, gift and pledge reminders. They will ensure that the database (Raisers Edge) is kept up to date, gifts are recorded and acknowledged correctly and on time and that the finance reporting is accurate.
They will also support the Head of Development on developing and implementation of a stewardship plan to enable tiered engagement with donors at different levels according to sector best practice.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Development team as we build foundations to embed philanthropy at ARU. The successful candidate will have a degree or relevant professional qualification at degree level and a strong set of relevant experience. They will also be a positive and proactive team-player, exercise sound judgement and have excellent organisational and communications skills. Experience working in a similar role is preferable.
