  About the Role
  We are seeking a passionate and visionary Database Platform Architect to join the Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) group of our client. In this strategic role, you will play a key part in defining, implementing, and promoting the global database management strategy.
  Reporting to the Head of Strategy and Architecture, you will join the global team dedicated to the database management platform as the Lead Architect. In collaboration with technical experts and solution architects, you will drive the execution of the global roadmap while actively contributing to the development of innovative solutions.

YOUR FUTURE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work closely with the platform owner to understand, refine, and adopt the global strategy and associated roadmap.
• Develop and document standards and processes aligned with strategic objectives, ensuring their relevance and applicability.
• Promote these standards and processes across technical communities and solution architecture teams.
• Actively participate in the design authority committee to ensure alignment of proposed solutions with established standards.
• Conduct proof-of-concept projects and contribute to the deployment of solutions when required.
• Act as a technical reference for database experts and solution architects across the group.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE

• Extensive Experience: Minimum of 10 years as a database expert and architect.
• Technical Expertise: Proficiency in MS SQL services on Azure and on-premises environments.
• Versatility: Knowledge of non-relational databases such as MongoDB and Cosmos DB (an asset) and other technologies like Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MySQL.
• Analytical and Communication Skills: Strong ability to simplify and present complex concepts to a diverse range of stakeholders.
• Collaborative Leadership: Talent for influencing, negotiating, and working effectively with multidisciplinary teams in a global environment.
• Bilingualism: Proficiency in French and English, both written and spoken. Bilingualism (French and English) is required for this position due to the nature of the role, which involves interactions with both national and global clients.
