For a Client, emagine is looking for a Database Specialist.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Conduct a comprehensive review of all SQL code and database architecture to identify and address performance issues.
- Lead SQL query optimization efforts, improving system performance and reducing query execution times.
Troubleshoot and resolve database performance bottlenecks using advanced techniques like indexing, partitioning, and query optimization.
Collaborate with development teams to implement database improvements and provide recommendations on SQL best practices. - Perform database performance tuning, monitoring, and capacity planning to ensure peak system performance.
Implement and maintain high availability.
- Mentor development teams and provide thought leadership in database optimization strategies.
MUST-HAVE SKILLS:
- 10+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA, with a strong focus on performance tuning and SQL query optimization.
- Extensive experience with Oracle database architecture, performance tuning, indexing strategies, and query optimization.
- Expertise in performance monitoring and tuning tools such as AWR, ASH, ADDM, and Oracle Enterprise Manager.
- Deep understanding of Oracle internals, database design, and optimization best practices.
- Experience working with large-scale, complex databases in high-traffic environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a track record of addressing performance-related issues in business critical applications.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Certifications** such as Oracle Certified Master (OCM) or Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) are preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with PL/SQL development and optimization.
- Knowledge of Oracle database solutions and tuning.
- Experience in mentoring and leading development teams.
- Experience with IBM Datastage.
Start date: ASAP
Duration: 12 months.
Lokation: Taastrup, Copenhagen.
Allocation: Hybrid. 3 days onsite, 2 days remote.
