DATABASE/SQL DEVELOPER

The solution is now used by some of the world’s leading Life Sciences companies.
As Kneat continues to expand, we are looking for an enthusiastic Database/SQL Developer to join our R&D Dept.

POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Database Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database development, management, and optimization, with the ability to design and implement complex SQL queries and stored procedures. The role requires a detail-oriented individual who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment to support our cloud-based applications.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years proven experience as a SQL Developer or in a similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle).
  • Experience with database design, development, and performance tuning.
  • Ability to write complex SQL queries and optimize existing ones.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication and collaboration skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based database services (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database, Elastic Search).
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Familiarity with ETL processes and tools.Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and techniques.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and optimize complex SQL queries and stored procedures.
  • Design and maintain database schemas, tables, views, and indexes.
  • Perform database performance tuning and optimization.
  • Ensure data integrity and security across all databases.
  • Collaborate with application developers to create efficient and scalable database solutions.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation related to database designs, configurations, and procedures.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot database systems to ensure high performance and availability.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices for database development.
  • Assist in database migration and integration projects.Provide support and training to other team members as needed.
