Description:
Are you ready to make one of New Zealand’s most breathtaking national parks your workplace? Do you thrive in challenging environments and have a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences? RealNZ is searching for a Day Cruise Manager to join our team, but this isn’t just any job opportunity.
You’ll have the chance to work for one of New Zealand’s foremost family-owned tourism providers, right where it all began back in the 1950s. Our founders had a vision to share our stunning backyard with visitors from around the globe, and if you share that passion, you could lead one of the teams that helps keep that dream alive!
Reporting to the Te Anau/Manapouri Experience Manager, you’ll take on the crucial role of overseeing the operational delivery and management of day-to-day activities on Lake Manapouri, Wilmot Pass, and Doubtful Sound. Your primary focus will be ensuring our customers have an outstanding experience with RealNZ. This means managing operations staff, optimising processes, and constantly seeking ways to enhance our service while making the best use of our resources.
Every day will bring new challenges, and adaptability will be key. Your ability to effectively communicate and respond to evolving needs will ensure our customers’ experiences remain exceptional. You’ll motivate your team to strive for excellence while prioritizing safety and fostering a positive work environment.
Leadership experience, particularly in motivating remote teams, is essential for this role, as is a proactive approach to risk management. Knowledge of reservations systems and experience in capacity management would be advantageous. A driver’s license is a must, and while a first aid certificate or emergency response training is beneficial, training can be provided for the right candidate.
