DAY OPPORTUNITIES REGIONAL COORDINATOR
CCoI Day Supports are delivered across the southeast (Some of our current location areas are Carrick-On-Suir, Grangemockler, Callan, Thomastown, Jerpoint)
The Day Opportunities Regional Coordinator is responsible for the leadership, management, and co-ordination of a range of community locations, programmes, and additional responsibilities.
The Day Opportunities Regional Coordinator is a key role in the leadership structure of the organisation and is responsible for promoting person-centred thinking and practice in all models of support.
The person will work collaboratively with the Head of Services, Area Service Managers, Person’s in Charge, and other colleagues.

Responsibilities:
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Day Opportunities Regional Co Ordinator are key drivers in the CCOI’s efforts to ensure the people supported CMSN have the best possible life.
The duties and responsibilities of the post include but are not limited to the following:
- Ensuring that teams under their direction are effective and efficient in delivering supports as identified through the person-centred service design.
- Collaborating with teams to identify barriers or challenges. Support stakeholders in identifying solutions to the challenges that arise.
- Direct management and co-ordination of effective service delivery
- Management of processes related to supporting individuals and families.
- Guiding services in a manner that supports a model of best practice and promote initiatives for improvements.
- Planning and reviewing all staffing requirements on a regular basis.
- Ensuring effective and efficient service delivery through team planning and the monitoring of Key Performance Indicators
- Ensuring all relevant organisational and national policies, processes, and procedures are implemented and adhered to
THERE ARE A SPECIFIC NUMBER OF RESPONSIBILITIES THAT RELATE TO OUR EXPECTATIONS OF A DAY OPPORTUNITIES REGIONAL CO ORDINATOR
- Work with Teams to ensure that every individual is being supported to voice their wishes and preferences.
- Ensure Programme models are championing the person’s right to experience a meaningful life; and ensuring the implementation of supports are compliant with the expectations expressed by individuals.
- Ensure that positive relationships with all individuals, their families and other stakeholders are evident across programmes.
- Ability to oversee and implement crisis planning and to address challenging situations effectively.
- Work with Teams to oversee that each person has a Person-Centred plan, and that Person Centred plans, records and actions are up to date.
- Work with Teams to ensure New Directions standards are being worked on across programmes and EASI tool paperwork is completed for HSE returns.
- Work with Teams to ensure necessary audits are completed in Service locations, as per organisational policy and New Directions standards/ regulations and to oversee the implementation of identified audit actions.
- Provide supervision and mentoring to Team Leaders/ Activity leaders (lands, social enterprise, Arts etc) to ensure programmes are on track and are working effectively; and to support programme development and reworking, where necessary.
- Work with Teams to ensure Incident, Safeguarding and Risk Assessment procedures are followed to mitigate risk and support individuals in their life choices.
- Oversee Programme budgets, and work with Teams around budget planning and ensuring petty cash systems are working effectively and any discrepancies are addressed.
- Work in consultation with others in CCOI around communication with Government Departments, Health Service Executive, Media.
- Participate in/ develop and lead improvement initiatives to include compliance with National Standards, service monitoring, evaluations, and audit.
- Conduct Performance Reviews, coaching and supervision meetings with staff in all locations.
- Ensure objectives are aligned with CCOI operational Plans, the will and preferences of CMSN are achieved and are measured by the presence of key performance indicators.
- Ensure there is an effective review and enhancement plan with subsequent implementation and co-ordination of recommended and approved improvement initiatives.
- Ensure both compliance with annual budget allocation as well as identified resource challenges and opportunities in addressing changing needs and associated areas of reform. Oversee effective financial planning and budget variance analysis.
- Ensure all areas under their remit meet regulatory and quality assurance accreditation compliance standards.
DETAILS OF THE ROLE:
Salary Scale: €52,168- €60,922
Location: Regional Office Ballinagrana, Carrick-on-Suir, Co. Tipperary E32 PA44
and will include travel to CCoI service locations
Contract: Permanent - Fulltime 40 hours
