Saint John of God Community Services, Dublin South East Services are now inviting applications for the post of Day Services Co-Ordinator.
Dublin South East provides a network of education, training, employment, respite and community living supports to children and adults with intellectual disabilities in South Dublin.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a renowned service in the intellectual disability sector. We are funded by the HSE and as such the role is within the public service and subject to annual increments, generous annual leave, and pensions. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, flexible, innovative, and committed to providing a quality service that responds to the needs and priorities of our service users.
Role Summary
The successful candidate will work closely with the Day Services Programme Manager and will lead a team of Day Service Supervisors in the management and development of an innovative range of Person-Centred options designed to enable each individual supported, to develop skills and access supports to live the life of their choice in accordance with the principles of Day Services National Policy, New Directions.
This is a critical leadership position and offers potential candidates a unique experience and an opportunity to work in a dynamic, challenging, and exciting environment.
Minimum Requirements
A relevant Level 8 qualification in the area of Social Care or another relevant qualification
Minimum of two years management experience and the proven ability to demonstrate excellent leadership and management skills
A full clean Driver’s License and willingness to drive own car as part of the role is essential
Experience
In addition, a qualification in Leadership and Management would be an advantage
A passion for supporting, mentoring and leading staff teams to achieve clearly defined goals
A clear vision and implementation strategy for the future direction for adult day services in line with New Directions National Policy (HSE).
Possess excellent communication, ICT and organisational skills
Knowledge and experience in Person Centred Planning in line the HSE National Framework and Assisted Decision Making (Capacity) ACT
Ability to collate, review and analyse data e.g. Safeguarding, Rights, Quality Compliance, Health & Safety, Corporate Governance and people management.
Remuneration
Salary Grade 392X, Social Care Manager on the Consolidated HSE pay scale.
€66,027 - €75,610
Location
The location of this role is Dublin South East. However, you may be required, from time to time, to work at SJOG other places of business or/and the premises of such associated s companies or organisations as SJOG CS may require. You will be given as much notice of any such change of place of work as is reasonably practicable.
