Description:

We are seeking a motivated Data Centre Technician to assist in the maintenance and operation of our data centre equipment and systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with IT and technical equipment, strong communication skills, and a desire to develop and grow in a technical field.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware, components, and IT infrastructure.
  • At least 6 months of experience maintaining or handling technical equipment or machinery.
  • 1+ years of experience in supporting IT equipment or related technologies.Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, lifting, and working at heights, with or without equipment assistance.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of IT equipment and infrastructure in the data center.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance of technical systems and machinery.
  • Handle hardware components, ensuring proper functionality and identifying any issues that may arise.
  • Assist in the setup and configuration of IT equipment and network systems.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards while working with or without equipment assistance, including standing, walking, lifting, and working at heights.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external vendors to resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
  • Provide support for both regional and global teams through written and verbal communication in English.
  • Continuously improve technical knowledge and skills by learning and staying updated on the latest technology trends and certifications.
