Description:

POSITION SUMMARY

The DC Office Administrator is responsible for providing administrative assistance to the EHS and HR functions in the distribution center. This can include assisting employees with basic questions, administrative tasks, and company training and events coordination.
This position requires a strong communication and organizational skillset to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines for critical projects. It will also allow me to learn minor aspects of EHS and HR site programs to assist in project management and administrative tasks.

PIVOTAL EXPERIENCE & EXPERTISE

  • Complete administrative tasks and coordinate training for New Hire Orientation and Training for Safety and HR within the facility, including recordkeeping within the HRIS system.
  • Prepare paperwork and schedules for a smooth new-hire Safety and HR onboarding process, coordinating with cross-functional departments to deliver an exceptional first-day experience
  • Participating in implementing safety programs within the distribution center to ensure compliance with OSHA, Material Handling, and EPA regulations
  • Participating in evaluating hazardous conditions, unsafe acts, and near hits and adjusting to improve the safety of the work environment
  • Work with Site Leadership and employees to ensure Safety & HR objectives at the sites are met
  • Assist with administrative tasks for onboarding, new-hire orientations, and exit interviews, including data entry in human resources information systems (HRIS) and audits for accuracy and compliance

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; an associates degree in business or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous knowledge and/or experience working with safety programs in a manufacturing or distribution environment is preferred
  • Ability to provide clear and concise oral and written communication to all employees within the company.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365, including Excel and Powerpoint, and ability to learn multiple computer systems such as but not limited to Paycom HRIS, iGear, and SDS online
