Description:

Monument Chemical Houston is seeking qualified candidates to fill our DCS/Process Engineer Co-Op position for Spring 2025.
Local Co-Ops/Interns are responsible for funding and handling their housing and relocation arrangements.
Description:
Provide technical support assistance to Engineers while meeting company safety, environment, and economic guidelines. Candidate must be working towards a bachelor’s or master’s degree.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have completed junior level chemical engineering/electrical engineering, computer engineering/computer science/data analytics classes
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA, required
  • Must have excellent verbal/written/interpersonal communication skills
  • Must have decent knowledge in electronics, computer technology and data communication.
  • Must be able to apply mathematics as a tool and the concepts of chemistry, physics, and electricity for problem formulation and solutions
  • Must be able to conduct information searching, processing, identification of strategies and have a need for life-long learning.
  • Strong PC skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, OneNote, PowerPoint)
  • Must have lawful unlimited authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
  • Eligible to obtain a TWIC card
  • Interns are responsible to secure their own housing arrangements

Responsibilities:

  • Apply mathematics as a tool and the concepts of chemistry, physics, and electricity for problem formulation and solutions. Collect, analyze, and interpret detailed unit operations data to troubleshoot and optimize process control issues. Perform control loop analysis and tuning. Interpret instructions and apply learned engineering principles on assignments, complex features, and possible solutions.
