We are looking for a Deal Desk Manager who can own the maturity and management of the deal desk function, including the creation of consistent best practices, front-line sales support, and deal structure support that adheres to company policies around pricing, discount and margin strategies. Reporting to the VP, Commercial Contracts and Field Operations, the successful candidate would be responsible for improving sales workflows, promoting efficiencies in the sales process, ensuring data integrity and providing strong data analytics. This position requires a good understanding of subscription-based service transactions, pricing and margin strategies and sales automation.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or related field preferred, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a Sales Operations or Business Analyst capacity
  • Experience with subscription-based service contracting is highly preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with an ability to deal with large data sets
  • Advanced knowledge of Salesforce.com and CPQ tools is required. You must be able to organize and extract data and provide meaningful insights and recommendations.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide front-line Salesforce.com support to the sales team
  • Responsible for all aspects of sales order entry, providing support for standard and non-standard deals to sales and customer success
  • Align business strategies to discounting and pricing policies globally
  • Serve as a liaison between other internal departments such as finance, legal, billing, product management and customer success
  • Maintain data accuracy in CRM, such as COGs and SKUs and service information
  • Work in collaboration with Sales Enablement to guide and train the sales team on use of Salesforce.com
  • Provide support and training to customer service teams and other sales support organizations
  • Upload Lead lists and assign to relevant campaigns
  • Create ad-hoc reporting requests for management and sales team
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to rollout system and process improvements
  • Provide guidance for renewals and client saves
  • Ensure Salesforce hygiene is maintained by creating reports that highlight red flags in the sales process, and align with sales leaders to improve those metrics
  • Experience with MDQ is an asset
  • Please note: If the successful candidate lives within 50 km of our office in Waterloo, Ontario this will be a hybrid position (Monday and Friday – work from home, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday – work onsite). If the successful candidate lives more than 50 km from our office in Waterloo this will be a remote position.
