JOB ADVERT SUMMARY

In support of IMSAF ongoing efforts to enhance organisational perfomance and provide employee development opportunities, the company is pleased to invite applications for a Dealer Trainer in the RG SACU Department.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • NTC 3 Technical Matric, trade test in Diesel Mechanic
  • Complete understanding of Isuzu LCV
  • PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Lay out training material
  • 14 years as a technical trainer and apprentice training
  • Qualified Motor Technician with diesel experience also have HCV experience
  • Technical backround in OEM or dealer with a minimum of 10 years
  • Extensive auto industry knowledge, experience in facilitation, training and content design and delivery
  • Valid drivers license
  • Knowledge of technical side of vehicles, able to transfer that into ways that technicians can easily understand
  • Good communication skills including presentation skills
  • Complete understanding of engine management systems and their functions

Responsibilities:

  • Develop Training material
  • Understand the needs of the technician
  • understand the needs of the dealer network
  • Deliver world class training
  • Efficiently adjust training according to circumstances
  • Mentor delegates
  • Ensure that information incorporates the latest technology and is continuously updated
  • Map out training plans, design and develop training programs
  • Choose appropriate training methods per case ( simulations, mentoring, on the job training)
  • Conduct needs assessment and identify skills or knowledge gaps to be addressed
  • Use accepted education principles and track new training methods and techniques
  • Design and prepare educational aids and materials
  • Assess instructional effectiveness and summarise evaluation reports determining the impact of training on delegate skills
  • Maintain updated curriculum database and training records ( hard and electronic)
  • Provide train-the-trainer sessions for subject matter experts
  • Manage and maintain in-house training facilities and equipment
