Responsibilities:

Join our high-performing Business Restructuring Services (“BRS”) team in Auckland as a Senior Analyst to provide high quality practical business advisory services. In this varied role, we’ll depend on you to assist in providing practical advice to companies in distress and to banks and other lenders regarding their distressed exposures and formal insolvency engagements.

Restructuring advisory engagements

  • The ability to quickly understand the key drivers of a business, and to carry out robust analysis and reporting in respect of the financial performance, financial position, cash flow outlook, risks and opportunities, and options and recommendations for a business.
  • Assist in the formulation and implementation of commercially viable options and recommendations for business turnaround.
  • The ability to quickly form trusted relationships with a variety of stakeholders of financially and operationally challenged businesses (e.g. management, employees, creditors etc).

Insolvency engagements

  • Manage the day-to-day responsibility of a portfolio of cases.
  • Support Insolvency Practitioners with all aspects of liquidations, receiverships, and administrations including: securing assets and records; corresponding with directors; dealing with varied enquiries from staff, creditors and debtors; analysis of company financial information; debt recovery; and identifying and pursuing recovery claims.
  • Thorough working knowledge of our Insolvency Practitioners cashbook (IPS) and preparation of Statement of Receipts and Payments and Estimated Outcome Statements
  • Preparation of statutory reports, statements of interest, and statements of affairs to be filed with the Registrar of Companies.

General

  • Develop, build and manage relationships with referrer network to continue to deliver and identify business opportunities.
  • Assist in developing and coaching more junior members of the BRS team.
  • Manage team relationships and workflow across the national BRS team and delegate tasks appropriately.
