Our team focuses on playing the role of lead financial advisers in sell-side and buy-side transactions.

ABOUT THE DEALS ROLE

The nature of our work means you will be presented with new opportunities and challenges on a daily basis. The Deals client base will provide you with exposure to well-known national and international clients, spanning a broad range of clients and industry sectors. The role will be based in Dublin, however, this role requires flexibility to travel both nationally and internationally (often at short notice, subject to current travel restrictions), depending on our clients’ requirements. Your work will not always be easy or clear-cut, however, you’ll be joining a team who will welcome your outlook and knowledge and help us assist our clients in their decision making process.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Performing comprehensive and robust financial analysis based on the client’s financial and management information
  • Contributing to an appropriate report structure and drafting report sections with clear conclusions reflecting the supporting analysis
  • Identifying information gaps and potential deal issues that may impact the transaction value
  • Contributing to the drafting of key deal issues on projects
  • Liaising with managers, directors and partners and keeping them informed of progress and issues on a timely basis
  • Playing an active role in team discussions and client meetings
  • Maintaining a good understanding of the latest developments in accounting standards
  • Demonstrating continuous learning and actively pursuing industry and technical expertise
  • Networking in the business community to develop client relationships
  • Assuming a coaching role for more junior team members

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THIS ROLE INCLUDE:

  • Strong analytical skills, including financial and operational KPIs
  • Comfortable with financial analysis, including P&L, balance sheet, working capital and cashflow analysis
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and competent report writing skills including use of Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Understanding of Alteryx, Power Query, Power Pivot - applying these digital tools has become a key feature of day to day work in Deals. Team members will be required to upskill and stay up to date on related developments
  • Strong project and time management skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills with a demonstrated ability to work well as part of a team and with clients and their advisors
  • Strong commercial awareness from both a business and global perspective
  • Ability to develop and maintain internal and external networks
  • Willingness to be flexible and adaptable
  • Highly motivated and a strong commitment to continued personal development
