Description:
Would you like to make a difference in the Environment? We are looking for a Decommissioning Engineer to be part of the Douglas Point Decommissioning Projects team throughout the lifecycle of Douglas Point Waste Facility decommissioning. The Decommissioning Engineer will support Project Leaders in the execution of projects at Douglas Point including scopes of work preparation, review of drawings, review of work control packages, providing oversight of staff and contractors executing decommissioning work, and providing technical expertise during implementation of field work activities at the site.
What you will be doing!
Providing technical support during the design, work package preparation, and decommissioning field work required to decommission the Douglas Point Waste Facility.
Performing timely reviews of submitted drawings and documentation during all phases of the project.
Performing engineering surveillance of contractor activities, both at Douglas Point and contractor facilities.
Providing CNL and HQ sponsoring of contractor personnel accessing the site.
Performing oversight of contractors and ensuring the safe execution of field work activities.
Responding to queries relating to logistics, CNL compliance programs, and CNL procedures.
Providing technical assistance to the Project Manager and other project team members.
Preparing, reviewing, and issuing, as appropriate, technical notes, reports, memos, plans, or other documents.
Assisting in developing project schedules, budgets, and work packages.
Interfacing with stakeholders and participants to ensure technical work is coordinated to meet requirements.
Ensuring deliverables meet requirements and are completed on time and within budget.
Travelling, as required, to external supplier facilities for meetings, surveillance, or other activities.
Being available for work during off hours, as required, to meet project requirements.
Other duties as assigned by your manager.
