JOB SUMMARY
As a Vulnerability Management Analyst working for the Ministry of Defence, with the Royal Air Force (RAF), you’ll play a pivotal role in safeguarding our digital infrastructure, by identifying, assessing and mitigating security vulnerabilities across our IT systems.
You’ll conduct regular vulnerability assessments, prioritise risks and work with IT and security teams, to ensure timely remediation. Your work will be crucial in protecting sensitive military operations and maintaining the RAF’s operational readiness.

JOB DESCRIPTION
- Vulnerability Assessment and Analysis. Analysing scans and reports on key RAF IT systems and prioritising vulnerabilities based on risk and criticality.
Threat Intelligence and Monitoring. Monitoring threat intelligence and integrating threat intelligence into vulnerability assessments.
Remediation Coordination. Developing and maintaining a remediation timeline and tracking the progress of remediation efforts.
Policy Development. Assisting in the creation and updating of cybersecurity procedures related to vulnerability management.
Incident Response Support. Providing support during cybersecurity incidents.
Tool Management and Optimisation. Managing vulnerability management tools and platforms, ensuring they are effectively configured and up to date.
Line Management. This role may have line management responsibilities in the future.
