We are looking for a Degree Apprentice Software Developer to join our motivated and creative team in our Cumbria Hub, working in collaboration with our Simulation team in Alcester.
We are currently seeking motivated and ambitious individuals to join our team as Degree Apprentices. This is a unique opportunity for you to gain practical experience, earn a salary, and achieve a fully funded BSc (Hons) Digital and Technology Solutions (DTS) degree.
As a Degree Apprentice with ITI Group, you will have a tailored development plan over a 4-year period to support your development and career progression.
Salary: Up to £22,500 depending on skills.

QUALIFICATIONS:

A Level 3 qualification in a relevant area in any grade. Acceptable qualifications include:

  • Two A levels in one or more similar subject.*
  • Level 3 apprenticeship in a similar subject.
  • International Baccalaureate at Level 3 in a similar subject.
  • BTEC Extended Diploma in a similar subject.
  • A work experience route (2-3 years) in a similar subject-related role.
  • ‘Similar subject’ relates to areas directly relevant to or commensurate with ‘Digital and Technology Solutions’. Typically, this would be areas such as but not limited to Level 3 digital apprenticeships, A-Level/BTEC Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking, Software Engineering, etc.

Please note: Candidates must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level than this apprenticeship in a similar subject.

  • Other equivalent qualifications may be considered.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • An interest in unit and integration testing on development software.
  • An interest in Full Stack development tasks - programming/coding.
  • An interest in Design and implementation of UI/UX.
  • A strong aptitude for modern web development techniques is desirable.
  • Any experience in a relevant field could be desirable.
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft software products is desirable.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Candidates must be able to prove they have the right to work in England.
  • Candidates may be required to achieve appropriate security and medical clearances; these will be instigated on receiving a conditional offer of employment.

Responsibilities:

SUMMARY OF ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Over the length of the programme, you will:

  • Assist in Full Stack development tasks, and the integration testing on development software.
  • Work as an integral team member contributing to the resolution of software challenges.
  • Support in the design and architecture for solutions and for the in-house framework.
  • Support the team with monitoring of hosted cloud-based applications and providing operational support.
  • Work towards the successful completion of your Apprenticeship Qualification.
