WHAT QUALIFICATION WILL YOU GET?

By the end of the apprenticeship you will obtain:

• BSc (Hons) in Aerospace Software Engineering or Computer Science.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

5 GCSE A*-C or 9-4 (or equivalent) Including Maths, English & Science or Technical Subject
A minimum of 96 UCAS Tariff Points (240 point old system), through achievement of 3 A-levels at grade C or above including Maths, Science or a technical subject, or equivalent (excluding UCAS points gained at AS level

A Software Engineering Degree apprenticeship involves working alongside experienced and outstanding software engineers. It combines spending typically two days a week at University, where you will acquire an Honours Degree, with time working on real projects, enhancing the skills necessary to develop a long career in the industry. Through this combination of academic study and real work experience, you will become a software engineer capable of writing requirements, designs, software code and tests. The work placement element of the course involves a wide range of activities for example: developing and testing aircraft displays, producing ground based equipment or the latest training simulators.
Please note you must not book any annual leave within the first 3 months of your apprenticeship. Following this, leave will be considered depending on the individual training delivery schedule and must be approved by your line manager.
