POSITION SUMMARY:
As a Military Connected Community Initiatives (MCCI) Manager, you are a member of the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) and the MCCI Team and as such, fulfills the company’s purpose of helping people on their path to better health by attracting great people to CVS Health while developing strong loyalty with our internal and external partners, customers, clients, and patients. Under the supervision of the MCCI Team Senior Manager, you will lead the development, implementation, and execution of collaborative strategies that support both transitioning military members, veterans, spouses, partners, and family members in need with engagement, hiring and retention activities that support all business units within the CVS Health organization.
In this role, your success is determined by driving strategic and operational imperatives of the DEIB Team and building highly successful relationships that provide employment services and training to the transitioning military community as well as those veterans and military spouses/partners in need residing in vulnerable and underserved communities near military installations, i.e., displaced, vocational-rehab, disabled. You will develop and maintain critical national relationships and partnerships with government, non-government, and nonprofit organizations. You foster the development of talent pipelines that will lead to people accessing meaningful employment opportunities. The contributions you make as a MCCI Manager, will lead the day-to-day activities that align with assigned objectives in support of the team’s goals and initiatives for the broader enterprise.
You will accomplish this by time spent as follows:
- 30% - Drive, building transitioning and veterans in need pipelines to support the broader enterprise talent needs through veteran and transitional support organizations such as, DOL, DOD, MSEP, HOH, etc.
- 30% - Leverage strategic CVS Health Business Leaders to help identify internal and external partnerships and opportunities that align with business talent needs.
- 20% - Develop and maintain critical external regional collaborations and partnerships with government, non-government, and nonprofit national organizations that will foster diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging and build a workforce reflective of our customers, patients, and communities we serve.
- 20% - Lead and achieve both long- and short-term objectives that support the imperatives of the DEIB and MCCI teams. Engage and coach those supported by the MCCI team in career development and retention.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years’ experience working directly with active/reserve service members in support of the military community with career, development, employment, retention and/ or wellbeing services.
- 3+ years of experience managing talent, development and business programs or comparable experience.
- 3+ years of experience leading, managing activities in support of the military community, Active/Reserves/Military Spouses/Families.
- Willingness to travel up to 30%
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Prior Active/Reserve Military, or Military Spouse status
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s Degree required; equivalent work experience may substitute
