Description:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be reliable.
  • Must have a food handling permit.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to read and write at the 8th grade level.
  • Previous deli work experience
  • Be available for night and weekend shifts.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Frequent bending, reaching, standing and walking.
  • Occasional exposure to cool temperatures.
  • Repetitive use of hands, wrists, arms and shoulders.
  • Occasionaly carry and lift from floor to waist of up to 50 pounds.
  • Occasionaly lift from floor to over head of up to 20 pounds.
  • Occasionally able to push and pull up to 20 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a store environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for consistently working to provide fast, friendly, helpful and efficient customer service at all times.
  • Responsible for smiling, making eye contact and thanking each customer upon fulfilling their request.
  • Responsible for projecting oneself in a professional manner in accordance with our dress code.
  • Responsible for fast, friendly and helpful sampling and suggestive selling. End each customer’s transaction with a “Thank You”.
  • Responsible for maintaining a neat, clean, safe and organized workstation at all times, according to company standards.
  • Responsible for proper handling, merchandising and cooking of all deli products according to company standards.
  • Responsible for preparing in-store made prepared food programs.
  • Responsible for performing sanitation duties within the department in accordance with corporate and state regulations. (ie: mopping, sweeping, emptying garbage, cleaning production equipment, washing dishes, and so on)
  • Responsible for controlling shrinkage through adherence to related policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for maintaining cold case logs, hot food logs and cooling logs consistent with store policy.
  • Responsible for maintaining controls and security in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for communicating new policies or promotional programs to our customers.
  • Responsible for knowing the store layout and assisting customers in finding items.
  • Responsible for performing other related duties as assigned by management and adhering to all company policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for efficiently dealing with customer complaints in a professional manner.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
