Delivery Director
Hybrid Working from one of 3 Hub Locations, London, Manchester, Nottingham.

The Role
There is significant focus on the large strategic change programmes mandated by BEIS and Ofgem, driving for the next generation of comms hubs and networks is a significant challenge and sensitive with both government and our customers.
This critical role will enable the Chief Delivery Officer to maintain their priority focus on the delivery of the large-scale strategic programmes, whilst ensuring there is appropriate executive level focus to drive the successful delivery of the ECP and ILC.
What will you be doing?
The role requires a senior leader with C-Level experience and a proven ability to drive the delivery of change in complex environments, able to meet the following key challenges:
Lead a team of Programme Directors and delivery professionals, charged with the delivery of the Network Evolution Programme, including Comms Hubs, Networks, Reprocurement of the Data Services Provider, Security and Test Automation.
Be the primary interface for key internal DCC customers, including the Chief Operating Officer, the Chief Technology Officer, and the Chief Strategy Officer
Work closely with internal functions and service providers to improve the end-to-end delivery of NEP
Develop and lead the Programme Team to deliver robust sustainable digitalised processes to ensure the future delivery of fast paced and low cost change
Lead the development of a culture and environment to support the delivery fast-paced change within Service Delivery and across the practices that support delivery
Work closely with the Chief Delivery Officer to identify and manage dependencies across the portfolio, and to address common risks and issues
Challenge internal and external business owners to support the rationalisation of the portfolio and to ensure effective prioritisation
Work closely with the Portfolio Office to ensure appropriate prioritisation and allocation of resources within Service Delivery
What are we looking for?
Essential
Ability to influence internal and external stakeholders at all levels
Proven ability to manage and prioritise delivery across a diverse change portfolio
Effective communicator with an ability to lead and motivate cross functional teams
Self-sufficient with ability to make effective decisions inline with business strategy
Desirable
Experienced in the delivery of network based projects and programmes
Successful track record of delivery in the energy sector or telecommunications
Knowledge of DCC and the key internal and external stakeholders
Experience of leading a Large Programme Management Practice
Person Specification

Strong communicator and ability to adapt to diverse audiences
Exceptional stakeholder management skills
Ability to deliver in process driven and highly governed environment
Proven commercial acumen and supplier management skills
Willing to travel to meet the needs of the business
Experienced in the delivery programmatic change and running business functions
