JOB SUMMARY

The Delivery Driver is responsible for transporting goods in a safe and timely manner to the required destination. This role includes inspecting the delivery vehicle, verifying shipments, and loading and unloading goods to be transported.

REQUIREMENTS / SKILLS

  • Valid Manitoba driver"s licence
  • Must have clean driver’s abstract and 2 years experience driving a 5 ton truck
  • Ability to handle physical demands including standing/walking for 8 hours while frequently lifting and carrying items, using a ladder, twisting, turning and reaching
  • Ability to work shifts (days, evenings, week-ends and holidays)
  • Approachable
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to find solutions to problems, adapt and cope with challenging situations and make decisions.
  • Experience in a delivery and/or customer service role (asset)

Responsibilities:

  • Load/unload products onto/from vehicle/truck.
  • Transport merchandise to and from offsite warehouse.
  • Ensure all items being delivered remain intact during transport and delivery.
  • Maintain vehicle in good working order and bring any issues to the Service Manager.
  • Keep detailed records of deliveries and any issues with the items being delivered.
  • Communicate with warehouse and/or order desk.
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations.
