REQUIREMENTS:

  • Full Irish or EU driver’s license category B (2+ years’ experience).
  • Must be over 25 years of age for insurance purposes.
  • Fluent English is essential for the role.
  • Excellent punctuality.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Understand safe loading and manual handling awareness.
  • Good knowledge of Dublin is desirable but not essential.
  • Valid Safe Pass.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are a Dublin-based furniture manufacturing company and we are currently looking for Delivery Drivers / Delivery Assistants to join our growing team.
You will assist with loading, unloading, and working with your colleague to take a variety of beautiful, well-constructed home furnishings to the homes of our customers.
Hours of work are approximately 07:00 - 16:30 Mon-Fri. There may be instances when you will be required to work overtime if deliveries are running behind,

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Prepares vehicles for loading, ensuring that the vehicle is empty and free of debris or other materials.
  • Loads furniture onto vehicles, ensuring that items are arranged according to standard accepted practices and procedures to minimize shifting during transport; utilizes protective coverings and restraint devices, as necessary.
  • Removes furniture and other merchandise from the vehicle by properly handling such items to prevent damage.
  • Performs routine maintenance of the truck, as necessary; inspects truck equipment and supplies, including tyres, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, and water; reports maintenance needs to the Manager.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism.
  • Consistently make good decisions with minimal supervision.
  • Work safely in a customer-focused, fast-paced environment.
