Description:
Mō te tūranga | About the Role
- Project Planning and Execution. Managing enterprise-wide initiatives within agreed scope, time, cost and quality from initial identification, refinement of the requirements, scope and solution design, to delivery of change and embedding in the business and IT ensuring alignment with wider delivery plans and priorities.
- Delivery Framework and Governance. Ensuring initiatives adhere to all internal policies and standards, reporting meets Transformation Office requirements and maintaining compliant initiative governance and reporting management.
- Stakeholder Communication and Engagement. Working with internal business and project stakeholders, vendors and third parties to ensure successful delivery of projects and ensure open and frequent lines of visibility to stakeholders.
- Resource Management. Ensuring initiatives are resourced correctly, sponsors are engaged and aware of progress and all risks to delivery are identified and managed.
- Risk and Issue Management. Identify, assess and mitigate project risks and issues to minimise impact on initiative delivery and outcomes. Develop risk management strategies and monitor and escalate to Programme Manager, Portfolio Director as necessary.
- Financial Management. Manage initiative budget and forecasting and ensure financial accountability and transparency.
- Perform related duties as assigned, within the scope of role and as required by Programme Management.

Essential
- Strong understanding of Project Management lifecycle and experience applying to practical situations
- Demonstrated ability to identify complex risks, lead project reviews and develop risk mitigation strategies
- Good understanding of Agile methodology and ability to breakdown scope in to epics, stories and and prioritise effectively.
- Leading complex business and technical change projects in a corporate environment.
- Strong internal and external stakeholder management and communication skills
Desirable
- Current Project Management and Agile certification
- 7 + years post qualification experience within IT/Financial or related field managing complex projects
- Relevant business, functional and/or technical domain knowledge and experience for the area to which the Delivery Lead role is for.
- Understanding of financial services as well as compliance obligations of registered banks in New Zealand
- Experience managing vendors and professional service contracts and arrangements
- Jira and Confluence management skills
