We help our clients design and deliver digital, technology and organisational transformation - solving real problems for real people. We research, design and build things: better services and products, better ways of working, better user experiences and better organisations and culture. Our core areas of expertise are analysis, research, analytics, data; user-centred design (service design, content design, interaction design and user research); product management and delivery; business change and people development.
We primarily work in the public sector, supporting initiatives that improve society and the lives of citizens; with not-for-profit organisations, charities and social enterprises; and with some private-sector companies. The key sectors we’re working in at the moment include education, apprenticeships & skills development, social care, rehabilitation, housing and criminal justice - but we’re always growing, developing and finding out about new things.
In April 2024, Farsight was acquired by Version 1. Version 1 already partners with Farsight on several large-scale government projects, and this move will provide a compelling and powerful value proposition to all customers and prospects in this space.

We are looking for experienced and aspiring Delivery Managers who can apply their agile delivery expertise pragmatically to guide teams to successful project outcomes and who want to take their leadership skills to the next level.
We promote multidisciplinary, ‘T shaped’ skillsets in our people and provide coaching and upskilling through a dedicated coaching model and skills academy. We welcome your application if you are looking to build your delivery management skills after experience in another agile discipline, or if you are an experienced delivery manager who has an interest in growing complementary skillsets.

REQUIREMENTS

Agile expertise. You have knowledge and a working understanding of agile tools and techniques, such as Scrum and Kanban. You may already have experience applying agile methods in a team context to achieve great outcomes.
Building and managing relationships. You can build and maintain strong relationships, demonstrating strong emotional intelligence and recognising the different needs of the diverse range of team members and clients we work with. You care about others and want to help them succeed.
Communication. You have strong listening, and verbal and written communication skills, which you can leverage to build relationships and facilitate effectively.
Planning and project execution. You can collaborate with clients and the team to bring together a plan for delivery (e.g. roadmap). You can facilitate sprint planning, and hold team members to account on deliverables through standups and sprint reviews. You have experience identifying and managing risks, issues and dependencies, coordinating mitigations to reduce their impact and escalating when appropriate.
Leadership. You have an understanding of different leadership styles/techniques and how these can be applied in a delivery management role to support team members to work and deliver effectively. You are motivated to grow your leadership skills.
Commercial acumen. You can support the management of a project budget through calculations of burndown. You may have experience identifying potential commercial risks and experience escalating/taking action to proactively mitigate them.
Adaptability. You show flexibility in your approach, and willingness to learn new skills and approaches to better meet team needs. You have experience adapting your approach to meet a changing requirement.

• You’ll apply your agile knowledge to support delivery in a team, such as facilitation of agile ceremonies.
• You’ll support the team to align their work to priorities and the roadmap; hold people to account for deliverables and identify and work to mitigate risks and issues, escalating when needed.
• You’ll build relationships with clients and stakeholders, developing understanding of their needs and challenges.
• You’ll promote ways of working in your team, identifying and implementing improvements.
• You’ll contribute to the Farsight delivery management community of practice, sharing experiences and learn
