REQUIREMENTS

To be successful for this role, you will ideally meet these requirements:

  • Proven experience of managing software or technology based projects.
  • You’ll ideally hold a formal project management or related qualification (e.g. University degree, PRINCE2 or AgilePM).
  • You’ll have an understanding of agile project management principles/methodology, as well as a good understanding of the software development lifecycle.
  • You will have the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical individuals or groups.
  • You will be able to identify areas where continuous improvement may be applied.
  • You’ll have the ability to work on own initiative and as a member of a team.
  • You’ll have excellent interpersonal skills with people at all levels.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT YOUR NEW ROLE

As part of our exciting growth, we’re on the lookout for a versatile Delivery Manager to oversee the planning, execution and delivery of a wide range of projects. You will be responsible for ensuring that deliverables are completed on time and within budget, working cross-functionally with our outstanding development teams, stakeholders and clients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Delivery Manager, you are expected to undertake the following responsibilities as part of your day to day activities:

  • Attending and/or leading daily team stand-ups to track progress of projects.
  • Leading on the delivery of all aspects of project management, including scope; definition; risk management; adaptable project scheduling; security management; and resource management.
  • Coordinating resources to effectively ensure successful execution of the project plans and to ensure delivery of a quality project.
  • Creating and maintaining project documentation and reports.
  • Identifying and managing risks associated with each project stream, working with colleagues and senior management to mitigate them.
  • Managing all aspects of the end to end technology and associated service release process. This includes the coordination of our build and test environment teams, ensuring they follow policies and processes, package release acceptance to business and client sign off, service roll-out planning, and release package testing.
  • Ensuring projects are accurately forecasted to support financial planning and capacity management.
  • Managing project change requests through to completion.
  • Managing relationships and communication with all project stakeholders both within NQC and within the client base.
  • Implementing, monitoring, reporting, and evolving KPIs across teams, individuals, projects, sprints, and stories.
