Responsibilities:

OVERVIEW OF ROLE

We are looking for a Delivery Manager to join our Central Digital Solution team.
You will work with designers, developers, data scientists and technical colleagues from across the region to develop compelling new solutions to industry problems.
As part of the role, you’ll collaborate closely with the wider solutions team and with stakeholders throughout the Central regions to lead the development of compelling new solutions to high-value challenges.
The immediate team embodies Mott MacDonald’s domain x digital capability with project managers working alongside developers, data scientists, civil engineers, asset management specialists, environmentalists, and others to create innovative new solutions. You will manage a range of development activities from prototyping, through to testing of solutions.
You will also promote and instil best practices in agile development, robust code development and the creation of replicable patterns and reusable code.

THE MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE ARE

  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders and the solutions team.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical paths.
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate team members.
  • Track project milestones and deliverables.
  • Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project team members and developers.

We will also ask you to take on direct line management responsibility for colleagues within the team.
    You will be assigned a level of responsibility and autonomy that enables the rapid prototyping and proving of solutions.
