Description:
RPS has an exciting opportunity for a Delivery Manager to join our Water Consulting business. This will deliver and build upon our existing frameworks and relationships with utility companies across Scotland.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:
- Team leadership - experience of successfully leading integrated/blended/diverse/multidisciplinary teams to deliver complex project outputs and programme outcomes.
- Communication – high emotional intelligence - listens and questions effectively, concise verbal and written communication skills.
- Strive to exceed client aspirations and are goal-driven.
- You will have extensive experience in the leadership and management of field-based teams, ideally gained in the utility service industry or similar and will have the ability to deliver results in an often unpredictable, operational environment.
- You will have proven experience managing performance and be able to implement change.
- Proficient in the use of the MS Office suite, work management systems and applications are essential.
- Clean Water Networks – knowledge and understanding of network hydraulics and asset types found on these networks is preferred but not essential.
- Experienced in highway working NRSWA Signing Lighting & Guarding qualification is preferred but not essential.
- Experience and awareness of managing work in high-risk environments highways is preferred but not essential.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A degree qualified in a relevant subject is desirable although significant previous experience will be considered.
- IOSH managing safely preferred but not essential.
- A full UK driving license is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the TMC delivery programme within our Water Consultancy business.
- Deliver a high level of customer service to our external and internal customers.
- Manage the health, safety, and well-being of our field-based teams.
- Safety, ethics, integrity, and the environment – always embraces and upholds RPS’s high professional standards, and advocacy - an ambassador for our wider business at all times.
- Manage the day-to-day running of field staff members (team of 10-12) initially, with a view to this increasing in line with our growth plan.
