Description:

As a Business Officer of the Brent Borough Team, you will play a vital role in supporting the Business Manager in various operational and administrative tasks, including the pro-active co-ordination of committees. You will work closely with the Business Manager to ensure the smooth functioning of day-to-day business operations and contribute to the overall efficiency and success of the organisation.

The role is to provide a comprehensive, effective, and high-quality business admin support to the Brent Borough Team and Brent ICP. This includes:

  • Assisting with relevant administrative duties as necessary including effective diary

management.

  • Arranging and attending meetings, booking venues, drafting agenda, taking and transcribing minutes, sometimes of a complex nature, and distributing all relevant documentation within specified deadlines.
  • To undertake work of a confidential nature that must be carried out with maximum discretion and diplomacy in line with the organisation’s policy, e.g., personal folders, sickness absence monitoring.
  • Assist with monitoring of and compliance regarding mandatory training.

Responsibilities:

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Performance Support

  • Support the production of accurate, accessible reports for the directorate.
  • Analyse complex data from a wide variety of sources and to make this accessible to senior

managers, teams and clinicians within the directorate.

  • Support the monitoring of delivering of directorate KPIs and internal targets such

as mandatory training compliance and to identify corrective action where necessary.

  • Work in conjunction with the Business Manager and SROs in producing the monthly

reports.

Financial and Physical Resources

  • Support and inform the requirement and targeting of resources, monitoring,

implementing and evaluating jobs and delivery of financial recovery/savings plans by

providing high quality information and analysis.

  • Contribute to the financial delivery of the agreed portfolio ensuring it is delivered on

time.

Governance

  • Ensure systems are in place within the directorate to oversee the timely processing of

serious incident and complaints.

  • Liaise and escalate to the NWL ICB Quality and Patient Safety team to resolve governance

issues.

Staff Management

  • Provide training, advice and support on own area of responsibility.
  • Support training and induction of new and existing staff.
  • Supervises team on their day to day activities
  • Participate in the recruitment process of support staff
