The Requirements:
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a similar role, with a strong focus on automation infrastructure, OT, and cybersecurity within GMP environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with DeltaV, Emerson Syncade, and OSI PI. Proficiency in SQL Server, cybersecurity practices, and visualization platforms.
- In-depth understanding of cGMP, GAMP, and other regulatory standards related to automation systems in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of troubleshooting and resolving complex automation issues.
- Proven experience supporting manufacturing operations, with the ability to manage change controls, assess impacts, and ensure compliance
Responsibilities:
We are looking for a Senior DeltaV Engineer to join our team, focusing on operational technology (OT) within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment in Athlone. This role involves overseeing and optimizing the automation infrastructure, ensuring system security, and maintaining databases. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in OT, cybersecurity, and database management, with a focus on compliance and system integration.What you’ll do:
- Design, develop, and maintain automation systems to support pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Ensure all automation systems adhere to cGMP, GAMP, and other relevant regulatory standards, maintaining a secure and compliant operational environment.
- Integrate automation systems with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and IT platforms, ensuring seamless communication and data flow across the enterprise.
- Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity measures to protect automation systems and infrastructure, conducting regular risk assessments and audits.
- Oversee and maintain databases, including SQL Server and OSI PI, ensuring data integrity, availability, and security.
- Manage change controls, conduct impact assessments, and investigate deviations, ensuring minimal disruption to manufacturing processes.
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation, including validation protocols and lifecycle reports, to support system development and compliance activities.
