Manage planning & purchase department for SEE SG (2 sites) and SEE MY, oversee and manage demand planner and purchaser.
Design and generate monthly statistical forecasting for MY and SG.
Conduct current and future forecasting analysis, ensure that processes and methods followed are based on the best practice.
Managing forecast system to generate 12 month rolling demand forecast and purchasing plans, target stocking level
Measure and improve the forecast accuracy
Control inventory targets approved by management to guarantee the right coverage in order to avoid lost sales or over stock situations.
Leading monthly aging inventory meeting with Commercial Team to identify excess and obsolete inventory to meet the aged inventory goal.
Review high inventories item in our warehouse and initiated the sharing request across APAC region to clear high inventory stock to avoid aging.
Managing replenishment process for SG & MY to meet production demand and customer demand.
Prepare reports and communicate forecast and inventory measurements to the management (forecast accuracy, inventory plan vs targets).
Evolve and maintain documentation and standard operating procedures for demand planning processes and systems.
Lead and present S&OP meetings to align on sales forecasts and financial plans.
Support management with risk assessments and mitigation activities.
Monitor and report on important changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategies.
Identify root cause and develop recommended action plans to improve and deliver supply chain KPI.
Identify and lead on business improvements to increase overall process efficiency.
Assist in developing annual budgets and cost-effectiveness initiatives.
Building and maintaining long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers, reviewing existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure on-going feasibility.
Sourcing and engaging reliable suppliers and vendors, negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Management or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years of experience in the role of purchasing, scheduling, forecasting and planning, have experience of handling JIT customer
Strong analytical abilities
Fluent English communication skills
Proficiency in Excel, ERP (SAP), BI and Lotus notes
Knowledge of demand management/forecasting tools, forecasting processes in sales, marketing, operations, finance, manufacturing and supply chain issues.
Good communication and team building skills
Knowledge of key inventory performance metrics
Ability to lead cross-functionally Note
