We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Demand Planner & Analyst to join our team. This critical role focuses primarily on short-term forecasting (2-3 months ahead) while enabling a longer-term view (3+ months ahead) through strategic planning. The Demand Planner & Analyst will optimize the entire planning and forecasting process, ensuring smooth operational functions and driving enhanced efficiency across manufacturing, shipping, and fulfillment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop accurate and timely short-term demand forecasts (2-3 months) to guide production and operational decisions.
  • Analyze market trends, sales data, and other relevant factors to create reliable demand projections.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate strategic planning initiatives with short-term forecasts.
  • Provide insights and data-driven recommendations for longer-term demand planning (3+ months ahead).
  • Continuously refine and improve forecasting models and methodologies.
  • Implement best practices to enhance accuracy and efficiency of the planning process.
  • Act as a crucial connector between Manufacturing, Shipping, and Fulfillment departments.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration to ensure a smoother workflow and reduce bottlenecks.
  • Utilize well-forecasted short-term demand to align production schedules with actual demand.
  • Reduce waste and costs associated with underutilized or over-extended production resources.
  • Achieve more flexible and efficient shipping planning through better short-term demand visibility.
  • Optimize logistics costs by aligning shipping schedules with demand forecasts
  • Align inventory levels more closely with demand to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
  • Enhance the fulfillment process to improve customer experience and satisfaction.
