Role Overview:
As a Demand Planning Manager at Americanflat, you’ll oversee the strategic management of inventory, ensuring optimal stock levels and efficient replenishment processes across various sales channels, including Amazon and other marketplaces. This role involves creating and managing BTRs, overseeing FBA processes, and updating and presenting inventory reports and dashboards. The manager controls VC acceptance processes, forecasts and manages reorders, and analyzes DI and bulk orders from Amazon

Responsibilities:

  • Create and manage BTRs by identifying eligible SKUs, ensuring timely stock management, and highlighting risks.
  • Oversee FBA processes to ensure SKUs are replenished or sent as needed in Seller Central Amazon.
  • Update and analyze weekly sales reports for Amazon and other marketplaces, providing insights and trends to inform business decisions.
  • Update and present inventory reports and dashboards weekly, including summaries of WMS data, inventory levels, weeks of cover (WOC), and BTR performance.
  • Control and analyze VC acceptance processes to preserve marketplace inventory and identify SKUs with less than 8 weeks of cover on hand at Amazon with no VC orders.
  • Forecast and manage reorders, including drafting, controlling, and verifying POs, and obtaining final approval for ordering amounts from the CEO/VP Finance.
  • Analyze DI and bulk orders from Amazon (EU) and propose monthly Spectra buys for items with less than 4 weeks of cover at Amazon.
  • Input on OTB (Open-to-Buy) ordering process in collaboration with Design, CEO, and Finance to ensure strategic stock levels.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in demand planning, inventory management, or a related field provides practical knowledge and understanding of the processes involved in demand planning.
  • 2+ years of leadership experience to mentor and manage a team, fostering a productive and positive work environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems and software is crucial for efficient operations.
  • Strong analytical skills include the ability to interpret and make decisions based on complex data to optimize inventory management.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills enable the clear conveyance of information and insights to team members and upper management.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy ensures that data and reports are precise to avoid costly mistakes.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously requires strong organizational skills to handle various responsibilities effectively.
  • Strategic thinking allows the candidate to contribute to high-level planning and decision-making, aligning demand planning strategies with overall business goals.
