Contexte
The Institute of Political Science at the Université catholique de Louvain (UCLouvain - ISPOLE) is hiring a full-time research assistant
for one year on the projects “Rethinking Co-creation of Digital and Environmental Policy in Systems of Multilevel Governance” (RECODE)
and “Scaling Democratic Innovations” (SCALEDEM) – funded via HORIZON EUROPE grants from the European Commission.

Hiring scheme: 12-month contract (during the time of the contract, the research assistant, in collaboration with the supervisors, will develop a PhD project to be submitted to funding agencies so that the contract can be transformed into a PhD grant)
Occupation: full-time (100%)
Funding: European Commission and UCLouvain
Salary: according to UCLouvain wage schemes
The research assistant will become an active member of the UCLouvain team that is part of the research projects “Rethinking Co-creation of Digital and Environmental Policy in Systems of Multilevel Governance” (RECODE) and “Scaling Democratic Innovations” (SCALEDEM).
Qualifications et aptitudes requises
Holder of a master’s degree in political science or a related field in the social sciences (that could be eligible for registering as a PhD student in the doctoral school political and social sciences). Final-year students are encouraged to apply, provided that they obtain their MA-degree before the start of the position
Good organisational and time management skills
Ability to work both independently and in a team
Native or near-native command of German and a professional command of English
Solid methodological skills both quantitative and qualitative
Familiarity with the Belgian multi-level system and the German-speaking Community of Belgium in particular is an asset
Processus de sélection
The starting date is to be decided on common agreement between 1 October 2024 and 1 January 2025. The deadline for applications is 25 August 2024 . After a first document-based selection round, the short-listed candidates will be interviewed via Teams soon after.
