Description:

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience: 1 to 1.5 years of related experience required. Experience with dental equipment (compressor, air/water syringe, portable lights) preferred.
Education/Licensing: High School education required. Valid Ohio Driver¿s License required.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  1. Ability to repair dental equipment (compressor, air/water syringe, portable lights) and maintain transport vehicle.
  2. Demonstrated history of successful support, education, and advocacy for all students, aligned with the values, mission, and messaging of the university, while adhering to the staff policy on conflict of commitment and interest
  3. Ability to meet consistent attendance.
  4. Ability to interact with colleagues, supervisors and customers face to face.
  5. Ability to drive cargo van.

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Work with dental coordinator to determine scheduling of pickup and delivery of dental equipment and supplies to the schools each day, prior to the start of the program. (6%)
  2. Pick up appropriate quantity of daily supplies and dental equipment (portable patient and provider/assistant chairs, lights, and compressors) from storage facility and deliver to scheduled schools. (25%)
  3. Working with the custodian and other community dentistry employees to set up all necessary equipment at the school, and performing on-site repairs as needed throughout the school visit. (20%)
  4. At completion of screening and sealant application, disassemble and repack all dental equipment and unused supplies from site-school and return to storage facility. (25%)
  5. Maintain and repair portable dental equipment on a regular cycle. This includes suction, and air/water on compressor units, any necessary repairs on portable chairs and lights, participate in the annual inventory, and order all necessary supplies for equipment maintenance and update. (14%)
  6. Maintain vehicle as needed. This will include being responsible for drop off and timely return of the rented vehicles, keeping vehicles filled with gas and providing information for the vehicles to be insured through the university. (6%)
