JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a compassionate, caring and dedicated Dental Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing the administrative tasks that keep our dental office running smoothly. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and proficiency in electronic medical records systems, particularly Abeldent.

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist is preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and administrative procedures in a dental setting is essential.
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems, particularly Abeldent, is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Experience with phone systems and front desk operations in a healthcare environment is an advantage.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients warmly and manage front desk operations, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments, handling cancellations and rescheduling as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate patient records using electronic medical records systems.
  • Process patient intake forms and verify insurance information.
  • Answer phone calls promptly, addressing inquiries or directing calls to appropriate staff members.
  • Assist with billing and payment processing, ensuring accuracy in transactions.
  • Collaborate with dental staff to ensure efficient patient flow and provide support as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area.
