OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients while ensuring a smooth and efficient operation within the office. This position requires a proactive individual who is passionate about dentistry and committed to delivering exceptional patient experiences.

EXPERIENCE

Candidates should possess experience or knowledge in the following areas:

  • Dental assisting techniques and practices.
  • Familiarity with dental software such as Dentrix or Epic is preferred.
  • Understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry.
  • Experience in orthodontics or pediatrics is a plus.
  • Previous experience as a dental receptionist is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Knowledge of CAD (Computer-Aided Design) systems related to dental applications is beneficial.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $22.50-$25.50 per hour
Expected hours: 36 – 42 per week

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols.
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans.
  • Schedule appointments and manage patient flow effectively.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
  • Collaborate with the dental team to ensure optimal patient care and office efficiency.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as billing, insurance verification, and inventory management.
