TE WHIWHINGA MAHI | THE OPPORTUNITY
We are currently seeking Dental Assistants to join our dynamic Dental Assistant team based at Middlemore Hospital. Our Dental Assistants work in a friendly team environment with great mentoring and support. You would be an integral part of the hospital based team that provides dental care across our service. We provide our patients with a full range of dental services from special care, orthodontics to a wide range oral and maxillo-facial services. Your role will encompass:
- Chairside assisting in clinic
- Following and adhering to infection and prevention control measures
- Preparing instruments to be sent to the hospital Central Sterile Supplies Department for sterilisation
- Working within a range of dental specialties
- There will be opportunity for project work and continuing education.
Department working hours are Monday – Friday, 8.00am to 4.30pm. To learn more about the role, .
NGA PŪKENGA MOTUHAKE | IMPORTANT SKILLS
Applicants will be qualified or working towards completing the NZDA Certificate in Dental Assistant. You will possess experience working as a chairside dental assistant and have good understanding of the practical application of infection prevention and control procedures in dental practice. You will perform well within a team environment that is rich in experience and has knowledge in all areas of dental assisting and a commitment to delivering high quality service to patients.
