JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to join our Oasis Dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing excellent patient care and supporting our dental team in various procedures. This position requires a strong attention to detail, proficiency in dental assisting, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or similar role is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Open Dental is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact positively with co-workers and patients of all ages.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Two Saturdays per month.

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed

Experience:

  • Dental Assisting: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Certified Dental Assistant (required)

Responsibilities:

  • Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.
  • Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
  • Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as billing, insurance verification, and maintaining inventory of supplies.
  • Collaborate with the dental team to ensure high-quality patient care.
