Description:

We are seeking an experienced Dental Coder to join our healthcare team in Shabia. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical coding, with specific expertise in handling preapprovals, invoicing, submissions, and resubmissions. The Dental Coder will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of medical claims, compliance with insurance policies, and optimizing the revenue cycle management process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all coding meets regulatory and insurance requirements
  • Handle the submission and follow-up of preapproval requests for dental procedures and treatments with insurance companies
  • Liaise with healthcare providers and insurance companies to resolve any issues related to preapprovals
  • Prepare and manage invoicing for medical services rendered, ensuring accuracy in coding and billing information
  • Collaborate with the finance department to ensure timely and accurate billing
  • Submissions and Resubmissions:
  • Submit medical claims to insurance companies and follow up on the status of submitted claims
  • Handle resubmissions for rejected or denied claims, ensuring corrections are made promptly to facilitate payment
  • Communicate with insurance companies to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to claims
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, guidelines, and standards, including HIPAA and local UAE healthcare regulations
  • Stay updated on changes in coding and billing procedures, insurance policies, and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all coding, billing, preapproval, and submission activities
  • Generate reports on coding and billing activities for internal review and analysis
  • Understand, follow and support all hospital infection control programs.
