Description:
JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dental Insurance Coordinator to join our team at Aleasyi Specialized Dental Center. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of dental insurance policies, billing practices, and accounting skills. You will be responsible for managing insurance claims, patient inquiries, and the financial operations of the clinic, including insurance payments, account reconciliation, and financial reporting. Your role is critical in ensuring accurate insurance processing and smooth financial management within the clinic.
Key Responsibilities:
- Insurance Verification: Verify and confirm patients’ insurance coverage, benefits, and eligibility prior to appointments, ensuring accurate information is on file.
- Claims Management: Submit and follow up on insurance claims, ensuring all necessary documentation is provided, and addressing any claim rejections or issues.
- Patient Billing: Coordinate billing processes for patients with insurance coverage, ensuring accurate charges are made and that patients are informed of their financial responsibilities.
- Insurance Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for patients regarding insurance-related inquiries, including coverage details, claim status, and treatment costs.
- Pre-Authorization: Obtain pre-authorizations for treatment procedures as required by insurance companies, ensuring all necessary approvals are in place before treatment begins.
- Patient Education: Educate patients about their insurance benefits, including what treatments are covered, out-of-pocket costs, and financial options available.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient insurance records, ensuring that all insurance information and communications are properly documented.
- Accounting Support: Manage and track insurance payments, patient co-payments, and reimbursements, ensuring that all financial transactions are processed accurately.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain financial reports related to insurance claims, patient accounts, and clinic finances, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Payment Processing and Account Reconciliation: Process insurance payments, track patient balances, and ensure timely reconciliation of patient accounts and clinic finances.
- Collaboration with Dental Team: Work closely with the dental team to ensure proper coding and submission of insurance claims, and resolve any issues related to patient insurance coverage.
