JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated, highly organised, personable and professional Dental Practice Manager to oversee daily operations while contributing directly to the patient experience at reception. This dual role requires strong leadership skills, excellent organisational abilities, and a proactive approach to maintaining compliance and improving efficiency.

REQUIREMENTS

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and proactive professional who:

  • Has experience in the dental industry and/or reception roles (both preferred).
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Possesses leadership skills to manage a team effectively.
  • Has a working knowledge of CQC compliance and healthcare regulations.
  • Is proficient in using dental software (experience with iSmile and Dentally is an advantage).
  • Brings creativity and initiative to marketing strategies.
Responsibilities

RECEPTION/FRONT OF HOUSE DUTIES:

  • Welcome patients warmly and ensure a smooth patient journey, from managing bookings and payments to follow-ups.
  • Address patient queries in person and over the phone with professionalism and care.
  • Maintain an organised and professional reception and waiting area.

PRACTICE MANAGEMENT DUTIES:

  • Team Leadership: Motivate and manage staff, conduct appraisals, and ensure high morale and performance.
  • Compliance: Ensure the practice meets all CQC regulations and health and safety standards.
  • Organisation: Streamline workflows, maintain accurate records, and oversee daily operations.
  • Stock Management: Monitor and manage inventory to ensure smooth operations.
  • Financial Oversight: Handle invoicing, reconciliations, and reporting on financial performance.
  • Implement policies and audits to improve operational efficiency and patient satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with dental practitioners to ensure adherence to best practices.
