Description:

JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a friendly and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing the front desk operations. This role requires strong administrative skills and a solid understanding of medical terminology, as well as experience with electronic medical records systems.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in a dental office or medical office setting is preferred.
  • Proficiency in front desk operations and familiarity with phone systems.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is highly desirable.
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, particularly AbelDent
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.

    Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
    Expected hours: 44 per week

Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients warmly and ensure a positive experience from arrival to departure.
  • Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments using dental office software such as Dentrix or Epic.
  • Answer phone calls promptly, addressing inquiries and directing calls as necessary.
  • Maintain patient records accurately in electronic medical records systems.
  • Process patient payments and handle insurance claims effectively.
  • Assist with administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies.
  • Collaborate with dental staff to ensure smooth operations within the practice.
