Description:

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a friendly and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth operations at the front desk. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and proficiency in electronic medical records systems, particularly Dentrix and Epic.

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience in a medical or dental office setting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures is an asset.
  • Proficiency in using AbelDent, or similar electronic medical records software is highly desirable.
  • Strong administrative skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a customer service-oriented approach.
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients warmly and manage check-in/check-out processes efficiently.
  • Schedule appointments and confirm patient visits while maintaining an organized calendar.
  • Handle patient inquiries regarding services, insurance, and billing matters.
  • Maintain accurate patient records in electronic medical records systems.
  • Process payments and manage billing inquiries with attention to detail.
  • Collaborate with dental staff to ensure seamless patient flow and care coordination.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and welcoming front office environment.
  • Uphold confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
