Description:

OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks in a busy dental office environment. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and proficiency with dental and general computer software, including Abeldent, Adobe Acrobat, and Word.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a medical office setting is preferred.
  • Strong administrative skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Familiarity with dental terminology relevant to dental practices.
  • Proficient in using phone systems and electronic dental records software (experience with Abeldent is a plus).
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients warmly and manage the front desk operations efficiently.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments, ensuring optimal patient flow.
  • Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, appointments, and insurance.
  • Process patient check-ins and check-outs, including collecting necessary information and payments.
  • Assist with insurance verification and billing inquiries.
  • Ensure the front office area is organized, clean, and welcoming for patients.
  • Collaborate with dental staff to facilitate smooth operations within the practice.
  • Complete dental reports to be reviewed by the Dentist.
