Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients and assisting in the completion of all necessary forms/documentation and data collection
  • Answering/ managing phone calls and providing information to patients
  • Booking/scheduling /registration of patients
  • Communicating with other dental offices/labs
  • General administration duties including billing and preparation of claim forms
  • Mailing of statements and arrangement of payment schedules
  • Maintenance of the reception area
  • Contacting patients regarding treatment plans
  • Safeguarding patient privacy and confidentiality
  • Confirming appointments with patients and giving reminder calls
  • Ability to maintain a short cancel list to fill the schedule when necessary

Requirements

  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages

PRIOR DENTAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Strong team player
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Computer skills with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel etc.)
  • Proficiency in Maxident or similar dental software is an asset. Additional training in Maxident will be provided
  • High school diploma
