JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing the front desk operations of our dental office. This role requires proficiency in handling administrative tasks, scheduling appointments, and maintaining patient records with accuracy and confidentiality.

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience in a medical or dental office setting is preferred, with a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records systems (such as Dentrix or Epic) is highly desirable.
  • Proven administrative skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on providing outstanding customer service.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated to complete tasks independently.

    Pay: $21.00-$27.00 per hour
    Expected hours: 20 – 24 per week

  • Dental receptionist: 3 years (required)

Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients warmly as they arrive at the dental office and ensure a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments, managing the calendar effectively to optimize patient flow.
  • Handle patient check-ins and check-outs, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed accurately.
  • Maintain electronic medical records (EMR) using systems such as ABELDENT ensuring all information is up-to-date and compliant with regulations.
  • Answer phone calls promptly, addressing inquiries or directing calls to appropriate staff members.
  • Process insurance claims and verify patient insurance coverage as needed.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized front desk area, ensuring all materials are stocked and accessible.
  • Communicate effectively with dental staff regarding patient needs and treatment plans.
