Description:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to communicate with patients and explain treatment and financial details in a clear and compassionate manner.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks, coordinate schedules, and keep track of patient records and treatment plans.
  • Ability to explain to patients, treatment costs, insurance details, and payment options in a professional and transparent manner.
  • Extensive experience in assisting with surgical procedures, managing infection control, and ensuring patient safety.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Level II Dental Assistant Certification.
  • Minimum of 5 years working in a dental practice, with prior experience in a surgical or specialty setting preferred.
  • Proficiency with alginate impressions, bite registrations and pouring up models is required.
  • Proven track record in treatment coordination, patient relations, and financial discussions in a healthcare setting.
  • Familiarity with operating diagnostic equipment such as X-ray machines and cone beam CT scans.

Responsibilities:

ROLE DESCRIPTION

Windsor Oral Surgery is seeking a highly skilledDental Treatment Coordinator to join their dedicated team. The Dental Treatment Coordinator, coordinates treatment plans and handles patient consultations, helping patients navigate through the clinical and financial aspects of their treatment. They also support the surgical team with occasional dental assisting duties when needed.
Windsor Oral Surgery offers comprehensive surgical care for a wide range of patient needs, including tooth extractions, dental implants, biopsies, jaw surgery, and more. The Treatment Coordinator will receive a competitive compensation package and work within a collaborative environment that fosters career growth and skill development.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate patient treatment plans from consultation to surgery, ensuring all information is clearly communicated and patients understand their options.
  • Review treatment costs with patients, clearly explain insurance coverage, payment plans, and ensure proper consent and financial agreements are completed.
  • Assist the surgeon with complex procedures as needed, including but not limited to extractions, implants, and other oral surgeries, in both the office and hospital settings.
  • Provide excellent patient care before, during, and after surgery.
  • Work closely with the front desk and administrative team to ensure smooth scheduling, patient communication, and treatment flow.
  • Provide backup support to the surgical dental assistants such as, taking X-rays, sterilizing instruments, and assisting in setting up operatories, as needed.
