Description:

An exciting opportunity exists to deliver high quality general practitioner oral health services to eligible adult and paediatric patients in fixed and mobile facilities located across the SCHHS.
Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS) is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south to Gympie in the north.

Oral Health services are provided to patient groups that meet the eligibility criteria for accessing public dental services in Queensland.
Adult services are provided at clinics located at Caloundra, Kawana, Nambour, Noosa and Gympie and the Sunshine Coast University Hospital (SCUH). A mobile facility provides additional services at Maleny and Gympie. The SCUH Oral Health clinic provides services for patients with complex medical or oral health conditions, including general anaesthetic and special needs services.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high quality general practitioner oral health services to adult and paediatric patients in fixed and mobile facilities located across the SCHHS.
  • Contribute to the culture of the Oral Health team with open communication and positive feedback.
  • Provide clinical leadership, guidance and supervision of less experienced team members and dentistry students.
    Prospective 2024 graduates are encouraged to apply. Successful applicants will have access to clinical mentorship and support, in addition to exposure to advanced oral surgery, relative analgesia and general anaesthetics. Up to $20,000 worth of cash payments per person are available under the current Workforce Attraction Scheme to successful applicants who relocate from overseas or interstate (conditions apply).
    Remuneration value up to $165.605 p.a., comprising salary between $124,078- $145,145 p.a. (f/t) or comprising salary between $4,755.90 - $5,563.40 p.f. (f/t) or salary rates: $62.57 - $73.20 p.h. (p/t), employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (DO1) (Permanent and Fixed Term Temporary Full-time. 76 hrs p.f. and/or Part-time positions available).
