The Department of Network and Data Science at the Central European University is formed by a community of 9 faculty members and 50 students. It carries out research with focus both on the foundations of network science and on data driven applications. The department offers a PhD program in Network Science, a master’s program in Social Data Science, and contributes to a bachelor’s program in Data Science and Society, which attracts international students from all over the world. The department provides a dynamic and international academic environment.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree
- Working experience in academia ideally in a similar position, or at an international company.
- Excellent communication and writing skills in English.
- A strong interest in and ability for working with students and faculty in an international environment.
- Ability to balance sensitivity towards student needs with respect to ensuring student adherence to university and program regulations.
- High-level computer literacy and advanced knowledge of the MS Office suite and mastery of databases. Experience with online learning management systems (e.g., Moodle, Blackboard, MS Teams).

Responsibilities:
- Managing an interdisciplinary master’s program
- Administration of admission, course enrollment, teaching schedule, and room assignments
- Coordination of teaching collaborations with other departments
- Communication and coordination with program donors
- Planning and coordinating the departmental activities.
- Scheduling and administering exams, defenses.
- Liaising with other university offices at CEU (Student Records, Budget, Communications, Admissions, Recruitment, Dean of Students, etc.)
- Providing high-level administrative support to the Head of Department, faculty members, students, and guests.
- Organizing academic and social events, meetings.
- Administering faculty projects and supporting student-led research groups.
- Maintaining and updating databases.
- Compiling report and evaluations.
- Booking accommodation and travel.
- Keeping the departmental website up-to-date.
- Handling day-to-day technical problems.
- Participation in the departmental daily operations.
